The Stork Fork FAQ What is The Stork Fork? The Stork Fork (TSF) is a food culture brand based on the concept that we begin to discover and establish our family food traditions based on the first 9 months of life and we carry those with us through the stages that follow. Our philosophy is that it's not what or how you eat that is subject to change - it's your perspective on food that changes. Food and food culture are the common threads in our lives that lead us to a host of other categories like nutrition, travel, education, and family. We encourage you to take control and have fun. TSF re-launched in BETA form in September 2008.
What is the goal of TSF? TSF has a goal to become a food network for families based on the concept of Food for Life, Maternity and Beyond. We want to provide you with a unique perspective from pregnancy and continue to be part of your food traditions through the stages that follow. We also want to add other personalities, perspectives, and user-generate content to our network via "Stork Stars" as we evolve our concept (more information on submissions below). Editorial Calendar: TSF operates as a weekly magazine. The main features are updated every Monday while smaller categories will be updated periodically through the week. Signing up for the Stork eMailer will give you access to our weekly updates directly as well as access to other news and information. Are you chefs? We are not trained chefs or doctors. We are food activists. We have a lot of collective experience in food and take pride in our content and sourcing of information. We have access to nutritionists, doctors, and other outside partners for information. Who reads TSF? We cater to people who believe that they do not have to give up being cool or an individual because they are expecting, already a parent, or simply a food enthusiast. This is not a static recipe site, mommy blog, pregnancy site, or baby site, it’s a food culture brand for families that want to take control and be involved in how food affects their lives. While our user-base is made up of a lot of women we actively cater to the new generation of men who are becoming more involved in the kitchen. How do I advertise on TSF? Contact us at

What is Parent Confidential? Parent Confidential is a user-submitted editorial piece that allows our users to give us their perspective on being a parent. Our goal is to show that parents deal with a lot of the same issues, conflicts, insecurities, and great ideas in general and as it relates to food. This will initially be a monthly feature. Each month we will select one piece to publish and we will open up the forum for comments on the piece. There are no requirements in terms of format and certainly not everyone is a great writer, we only ask that it be thoughtful and important to the writer. To submit, send us your piece to:
